Karambaba Vasiliki

My name is Vasiliki Karambaba , I was born in Thessaloniki in 1994 and grew up in Halkidiki. I graduated from the 4th workshop of the Department of Visual and Applied Arts of AUTH in 2020. Since then I have taken part in various group exhibitions in Greece with some of the most notable at the Florina Museum of Contemporary Art and one in Barcelona and a solo exhibition at Miro Gallery. The main medium I use is oil on canvas, but also watercolor on paper. In my painting I create an environment that arises from my everyday life. I am interested in figurative painting and the ways it can be used. I paint in the same artwork in different ways and intensities per areas in order to connect seemingly unmatched techniques. I am interested in Symbolism and naive painting, which, in my opinion, has an admirable honesty.
