Antigoni Tsintali has her studies at the Department of Visual and Applied Arts of the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and at the School of Philosophy, Education and Psychology of Ioannina with specialization in Psychology. She holds a Master’s degree in “Special Education” from the University of Nicosia in collaboration with the University of Patras.
She has presented her work in the following group exhibitions: “Me + he”, at the Art space “ATHONOS ART SPACE”, 2023, 2 Video Art Projects, 2023, Municipal Art Gallery of Thessaloniki, “The Painter: Hierophant or administrator”, 2022, Region of Western Greece, Department of Culture, Chrysogelos Building Messolonghi.
Her artistic work deals with experience, memory, mental pain, such as trauma, mental and spiritual alienation, repetition (repetition) of history, tradition and our connection with roots (the familiar, culture and historicity) are some more topics that fall with the individual, personal identity and history and ultimately experience and trauma.
At the heart of her practice is the fragmentation and deconstruction of form and the reconstruction and creation of a new form – reality with the help of grid and motifs from tradition and the study and observation of colors, visual issues, such as those of form and color. Her artistic output includes paintings, fabric works, cutouts on paper. She lives and works in Thessaloniki.
