Tsintali Antigoni

Antigoni Tsintali is a student at the Department of Visual and Applied Arts of the School of Fine Arts at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.Th.). She holds a degree in Psychology from the Department of Philosophy, Pedagogy, and Psychology at the University of Ioannina, and a Master’s degree in “Special Education” from the University of Nicosia in collaboration with the University of Patras.

She has presented her work in the following group exhibitions:

• Open-y, 2024, Agali Hotel, Paxos
• Visual Dialogues with the City, 8th Festival of Monuments, 2024, Islahané Cultural Venue
• Me+Him, Άθωνος Artspace, 2023
• 2 VideoArt Projects, 2023, Municipal Art Gallery of Thessaloniki
• The Painter: Hierophant or Manager, 2022, Regional Authority of Western Greece, Department of Culture, Chrysogelos Building, Messolonghi

Her artistic work explores lived experience, memory, and psychological pain, including themes such as trauma, alienation—both psychological and spiritual—historical repetition, tradition, and our connection to roots (familiarity, culture, and historicity). These themes relate to the individual, personal identity, and narrative, always centered around the notion of experience and trauma.

At the core of her practice lies the fragmentation and deconstruction of form, followed by the recomposition and creation of a new form–reality, using grids and traditional patterns. Her process is grounded in the study and observation of color and visual issues, particularly those concerning form and color relationships.

Her artistic output includes painting, textile-based works, and paper cutouts.

She lives and works in Thessaloniki.
