Maria Nikitopoulou was born in Thessaloniki in 1986.She is a graduate of the Department of Visual and Applied Arts, School of Fine Arts in Thessaloniki, studied on the 1st Painting Workshop under professor Dimitris Zouroudis. She also graduated from Democritus University of Thrace, at the Department of History and Ethnology.As an ideological starting point, her works are subject to an analytical line of thought of an ethnological content, regarding the existence of myths and their importance, within a wider socio-cultural context.
