Nektarios Pachiadakis lives, paints, plays music and writes in Crete, Greece.
Nektarios Pachiadakis was born in 1974 in Heraklion, in the Greek island of Crete. He graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1997. In 2000, motivated by his desire to experience a different way of living and culture he decides to make an one-way trip to Chile. It was there where he discovers his love for painting and writing, and his need to express himself through art. It was there he took his first training in drawing and painting as a guest in the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile. Some of his poems were at that time translated to Spanish by a group of poets who were working in association to the Ministry of Communnication in Santiago, who showed great interest in his work. After several months he returns to Greece and publishes the book Imperfect bodies, a collection of 65 poems. The book receives excellent reviews from the local association of writers. In parallel, he is attending courses in drawing and painting, working at the same time to earn his living. In 2002 he meets Cristine Boladz, an American abstract expressionism painter, they become friends and she influences his work .He is studying Faculty of Fine Arts at the School of Visual and Applied Arts of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He is a member of the Champer of Fine Arts of Greece. However Nektarios Pachiadakis is also a musician ,being a basic member of “Eran” band, having released 2 cd albums so far.
