Gestimani Papavlasiou was born in 1974 in Thessaloniki. She enrolled in the academic year 2019 in the
Department of Fine and Applied Arts at the School of Fine Arts of Auth. She is a student in the Painting
workshop under the guidance of Mr. Dimitrios Zouroudis.
She is also a graduate of the TEI of Social Work with specialization in Family Psychotherapy. She
attended the Art-Therapist courses for a year with Ms. Anagnostopoulou at the Psychoanalytic Center of
Thessaloniki. Her artistic study reflects a kind of synthesis in gestural movements and her experiential
work experience. Through the repetitive observation of the complex, spiral-like line, she approaches a
abstract representation of human figures.
